Happy Birthday to one-of-a-kind dad,
who bites his daughter’s fingers whenever she arrives home as a sign of love
who used to drive every summer break, thanksgiving, winter break to bring his daughter back home from college
who made a one-day round trip to DFW airport just to make sure his daughter safely boarded for her first international trip
who declared that his daughter cannot get married in the year of 2012
who paid his daughter’s boyfriend’s hotel one year so his visit in El Paso was comfortable
who drove all the way to Lubbock overnight to bring his desktop because his daughter’s laptop broke
who claims he will permanently move to wherever his daughter settles
who pays almost all of his daughter’s flights to home because he doesn’t want his daughter to pay for it
who always washes his daughter’s car, fixes everything, and changes all the important parts in the apartment every time he visits his daughter
who always ends the conversation with “I hate you.”
