21 Days Left

Guess what??  This past Friday marks exactly 3 weeks away from our wedding.  Our crazy is that?  There are still lots of things to get done, but I am getting quite excited about marrying to my man!  Yesterday was a busy, busy day.   I got my hair trimmed for the first time in 3 months, and then Z and I went to downtown to get our marriage license issued!  The process was fairly quick and easy; the woman who issued our license was so nice to us. 

Another exciting event of the day was my bridal hair and makeup trial.  Linda and Luna from the Pink Palette Artists were the wonderful women who made me look absolutely beautiful!  At first, I couldn’t quite recognize myself with the elaborate hairstyle and really polished makeup, but I think it will complement my wedding dress very well.  Here is a sneak peak below:  I found a couple of pictures on Pinterest that I liked and asked Luna (hair stylist) if she can create something similar. 

Since my hair and makeup already set the tone for date night readiness, Z took me out at a Japanese restaurant for sushi dinner.  After debating what to after the dinner, I remembered taking a picture by the Houston Zoo a couple of months ago with this advertisement (below).  The zoo was hosting a new holiday tradition where the whole place was filled with lights.  We had about an hour and a half before it closed, and with the perfectly warm weather (in December!!), I asked him to take us there.  We got there about an before it closed, but I figured we would still have enough time to walk around enjoy the whole park. 

Houston Zoo did some wonderful things with its facility – from various lights of animals to showing real animals!! There were still lots of people, especially with young parents and their children.  Z and I had a marvelous time soaking ourselves in the holiday spirit while listening to all the classic and new carol music.
