Park Day

Today was a good day. 

First of all, Z is DONE with medical school!  Well, he doesn't graduate with his MD until May 31st, but he is technically done with this clinical and course requirements as of today.  I am immensely proud of him. 

Today was a half day at work for me, a much needed one.  I had my car serviced for general maintenance, and then Lilly and I went to Hermann Park for a nice, long walk.  It was a beautiful day in Houston (sorry to make y'all jealous, my friends and family up north) after days of oddly chilly and rainy weather.  I ever wonder if could adapt to wintery weather in one of these days.  It was so perfect because the park was not busy at all (assuming many people still at work), so we really got some quality walking down.  

Lilly was busy chasing after squirrels and pigeons to the best of her ability, and while I'm sure she was getting frustrated with my resistance, she was a great walking companion. 

I also saw a couple of brides getting their bridal pictures done.  It reminded me our time in the summer 2012 taking our engagement pictures here.  

This was one of the places we have taken our engagement pictures.  I guess it was a little more green back then.  :)

After jumping into mud and rolling on the grass, Lilly needed a desperate bath time (according to my judgement).  I'm glad that I was able to give her a lot of walking/exploring the world time today since most of her time is spent indoors waiting for us to come back from work.
