Two days of joy

Married life these past two days was quite amazing!  Ok...married life with Z has always been awesome, but the reality is, I barely got to see the guy since he started the residency training.  With him being gone from 4:30am-7:30pm (sometimes much later), the only time we have been together these days was the dinner time, which was brief.  Before you know it, he is in bed by 9pm.  By the way, this is the life of a medical doctor's life - patience...LOTS of patience! Thankfully, I am pretty good at keeping myself busy (or lazy) or I don't mind the alone time I get.

Z had Thursday and Friday off from work.  Thursday morning, he woke up early and cooked breakfast omelet for me.  It was a rainy day, but it didn't' deter from us going to the St. Louis Art Museum.  A great thing about living in St. Louis is that all admissions to the public museums are free!  We enjoyed a wealth European painting, sculptors, and contemporary arts in a beautiful facility.  I would be definitely interested in coming back when the weather is much better.  The museum is located in Forest Park, and this urban park is quite breathtaking.

For dinner, we went to Remsy's Kitchen and Wine Bar in Clayton.  I had bacon wrapped pork chop with mango salad on top.  Z had succulent beef tenderloin.  Our last trip was to Viviano's Festa Italiano, which is an authentic Italian market/restaurant near our house.  We grabbed some desserts and then finished eating at home with Lilly desperately wanting to partake in the eating.

Once again, Z is back in bed by 9pm preparing for another long day at the hospital.  I am immensely proud of him for his hard work (and intelligence) and thankful for his way of supporting me on his days off.  It's days like these when I am more motivated to be patient when he's mentally/physically unavailable. I also think our long distance relationship of 5 years (before getting married) has helped us in times like this.
