A long time ago, Z invited me to a fancy charity event hosted by his medical school, and I gladly accepted to attend as his date. I packed up my luggage with all sorts of beauty tools, heels, and a black halter top dress to suit for the occasion. I’m not a really a big fan of formal event, but I sure would do anything for the fiancé.
We had a lovely weekend. On Friday, we drove to Houston for a brief shopping at the Galleria Mall. I got a few things but I really loved Z’s new black jacket. We then ventured to find a sushi restaurant for dinner, which didn’t turn out to be the greatest experience due to bad service. Nevertheless, we liked each other’s company and carried on with the rest of the day.

The charity event occurred on Saturday evening. We spent all day watching movies and being extremely lazy, but when the time came, we were all fancied up and ready to enjoy the evening. The event involved a silent auction, dinner, and dancing. We quickly discovered that dancing in front of Z’s faculty members can be quite awkward, so as others agreed. Despite all that, though, it was great to do something we normally don’t do and enjoyed the rare looks of us. It was nice to see each other look very polished and I was thinking, “Boy, we are a good-looking couple!”

However, we quickly changed into our PJs the moment we came back. And let’s just say that the rest of the weekend involved more laziness and NBA-watching. Also, I didn’t cook a thing for him. I felt quite terrible being so lazy and unmotivated.
Unfortunately, this will probably be the last time we see each other this month as our crazy schedules consume us. By the way, I’m always so appreciative that this man wakes up to check-in for my flight on behalf of me. He’s a keeper!
