I voted for the first time since I became a U.S. citizen last November. This year’s Thanksgiving marks the 11th year of our permanent move to this great country, and I am thankful to have the privilege to vote for our next president. It’s quite a significant moment in my life, and worthy enough to be on this blog as remembrance. I hope all of you voted today – whether you advocate for a certain candidate or not, I think it’s important for all of us to take a serious moment to decide who would be most suitable to lead this country for the next 4 years. I may not have been actively engaged in politics as I should be, but I think I have at least thought carefully before I hit the “cast your ballot” button and wishing that our collective decision will eventually benefit our future as a nation.

I LOVE this picture! It's only the second time I've voted either and it was pretty exciting :) So happy that you and your family all got your citizenship so that you could start voting in this election! Just in time! I agree, no matter who you vote for, it's actually getting out the the booth that matters most.
