Minta and Zach's Wedding

This past Saturday, June 1st, I witnessed a beautiful, sweet wedding of Minta and Zach.  To make things better, Yo flew down from Dallas for the wedding and has been spending time with me since then (she leaves tomorrow).  Minta was part of me and Yo's graduate cohort program in higher education administration.  She has always been known for her kindness and love for Disney.  Since the graduation a year ago, she got engaged, moved to Galveston for a new hotel gig, and now married to her man whom she first met in second grade.

Her wedding was in a cutesy, small town called Brenham, just an hour and a half away from Houston.  When we got to the hotel, we were greeted with custom-made welcome baskets highlighting all the goods known in Brenham, which one of them is the Blue Bell Ice Cream. We were invited to attend the rehearsal dinner at a vintage American restaurant where we saw the happy bride and groom in the world.

Minta and Zach's wedding was at 11am the following day, at a backyard of a restaurant.  All the little details screamed Minta - vintage, fun, handmade, and eclectic.  The wedding was just 15 minutes long, which was perfect for the hot, sunny Texas weather.

The reception lunch was the most delicious southern food ever!  There were LOTS of fried chicken, roasted asparagus and potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and etc.  The wedding cake was served with ice cream and was to die for; the bride and groom exchanged ice cream instead of wedding cake, which I thought was pretty fun and unique.

At the wedding we were reunited with several of the friends who were in the cohort program together.  It was wonderful to see them after a year and seeing each make a mark in the higher education world.

Congratulations Minta & Zach!  Thank you so much for inviting Yo and I to your fun wedding.  Wishing you all the blessings on your marriage!
