We took off for Houston around 4pm and arrived here 3 hours later. A little tired from the trip, but it was a lot of fun. I leave for Lubbock on Monday morning.
My house without Z will be quite different. I guess I was beginnig to get used to having him around all day. At least I'll get some work done. August should not be a month of procrastination...it must not. I have a lot to get done before the school begins - making sure my recommenders receive their letter forms, beginning my applications for grad school (they haven't been posted online yet), and completing my personal statement and essays. The last part is extremely important. Note "extremely".
Believe it or not, I am beginning to anticipate my last year of college. I am ready to be busy, to be productive, and what not. I enjoyed my vacation with good amount experiences at work; I am ready to hit the books now. How strange, I know.
Oh, I also realized that a long distance relationship is more than appropriate at this time for us. We both need to complete works that will influence the course of our future. This distance enables the independence we need. I finally realized that. He may not agree with my thought, but I think our special circumstance gives us time to become someone we want to be. The two weeks we spent time with each other seemed to reach that conclusion for me.
PS- Wow...it's already August 1st
