Life after graduation

~Yesterday~

Life after graduation has been quite eventful and enjoyable. I never realized how gorgeous El Paso weather was until now. I am soaking in all the sun and the warmth that I missed out in Lubbock.

Yesterday we had a cookout; it was something like a graduation festivity of some sort. Even though most of my closer friends now reside in Lubbock, I was still able to have few friends over to share the festivity.

One of Z & I’s mutual friend, Christine, joined us; she attends the medical school here. She also joined the engaged group recently!

I was even happier to see Kateleen at the scene, one of my best friends from high school.

My boyfriend cooked the entire lunch for us; it involved big portions and lots of meats. We enjoyed delicious burgers, steaks, side dishes of asparagus and corn on the cob. Might I say it was the most delicious foods I ever had [my family agreed on that too]!!!

~Today~

Z was scheduled to head back to Houston; heading back in the late afternoon gave plenty of time for us to hang out. We went to Carino’s Italian Restaurant for brunch…we were pretty stuffed by the end of it. My boyfriend had a food induced coma, of course.

I’m starting to think that my boyfriend likes sleeping in my bed, though it is covered by a pink comforter.

One last thing I wanted to do was getting birthday presents for him. I can never seem to figure out what he would like, so I decided to buy things when he was still with me.

I bought him a white polar shirt from Gap Outlet – have I told you how good he looks in white?

I also got him sunglasses from Banana Republic. He lost his old one by accident. Either way, I think he looks better on this one. I didn’t like the old one anyway.

I wasn’t really sad that he was leaving today [okay, maybe a little bit] because I get to see him on Friday again…he’s going to help me move my things in Denton, TX.

I am pretty lucky to have this guy…don’t you think? :)

Life is so great as a college graduate. I’m loving it.
