I have completely moved out of the house that I called “home” for the last two years. It was really strange seeing an empty (and rather clean) room and saying goodbye to Erika. Despite the amount of junk I had, it only took me and my family 4 hours to pack and store in the U-Haul truck.
We arrived in Denton today…300 miles. Dad drove the U-Haul, a truck for the first time in his life. I don’t think he really enjoyed the rattling noise and the uncomfortable seat, though. We are only here for couple of days; simply moving my things into the storage to facilitate the actual moving in August.
{These all came from one room…wow}
{This is what me and my brother saw the whole time in front of us for 300 miles… “Our Low Decks Make Your Move Easier!”}
Driving to Denton was absolutely beautiful; never realized how pretty the panhandle region was until today. We were in awe by gorgeous ranches, and their cows and horses.
We also discovered a very pretty rest area; it was literally a park.
{We were in charge of the van while the parents handled the truck}
Denton seemed like a really nice place - a good mixture of small town feeling and suburb in Dallas. I am glad to be exploring somewhere else than a desert-like West Texas. I’d love to be in many places throughout my life.
I’m excited that I will be calling this place as my “new home”, and can’t wait to explore different places while I’m here for the next two years.
