Day in Ruidoso

I just came back from a lovely family trip in Ruidoso.

Then we got the wave of heat coming from our own house that we didn’t get up in the mountain. I miss cooler weather.

Where do I even begin. It’s an emotional moment when you start realizing that this family trip might be the last one for a long time. Coming back home is going to be more scarce than before & Denton/Dallas becomes the center of your life. When you do come home, you’re simply too busy to really go somewhere after you catch up on everything. Then, it’s even stranger to discover that a week from tomorrow, I am leaving my family behind for a new step of adventure. Everything is a bit surreal.

I know I’ll come back home eventually, but I just don’t have three months of summer break or something like that, you know.

Anyway, our trip started early morning. I started getting ready significantly later than everyone else, which led to absolutely no makeup; I was in a hurry. I put on a new scarf I had it ordered from ModCloth, straightened my short & dyed hair, then jumped in the van & slept rest of the way.

Normal story of my life. Nothing surprising, really.

Our day in Ruidoso, NM was absolutely relaxing. On our way there, we visited a pistachio ranch & its lovely gallery filled with local artists, a humble-looking winery (with a giant, fluffy dog, Max, you’ll about to see), & enjoying the overall scenery.

I also took tons of pictures. I think they’re all good so I had a miserable time deciding which ones are worthy to be displayed in this blog.

We enjoyed a good walk along the lake, and intentionally making the family members pose so I can take good pictures. And we ate so much, which wasn’t that surprising either. I had lots of fun just being able to hang out with everyone before my “workaholic & being a good student” mode kicks in.

I ended up deciding to put the entire album up. I am so indecisive.
