Making a friend

I have a week roommate whom I met in the interview back in April. She offered me her place until my apartment lease was available. Suneera & I might have started out a little awkward, just like my first in the dorm four years ago.

Today, we had some fun & got much comfortable with each other. We both finished work in the early afternoon, so we decided to explore the nicely-established shopping centers around our neighborhood. We shopped & bought clothes that we don’t need as usual…sorry, dad. We simply used office wardrobe as an excuse.

We had dinner @ Fuzzy’s, which is a local Mexican restaurant that she had discovered from work. What a cheap but good food it was. It is definitely on my “yes” list.

Then we spent an hour at home debating whether to get desserts or not. I blame it on the DQ commercial. Eventually we made our second visit to Super Target to get some Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. I made sure I didn’t eat it all in one day. I could’ve, though. By the way, I am in love with Super Target (nothing in comparison to Super Walmart); I literally go there every single day.

It’s sort of nice to do something finally, even it that was shopping that I didn’t need, with someone because I felt less lonely being in this town. I didn’t keep my self promise (not buying things until my first paycheck), but that’s okay.

 

As for work, I got myself a key to the office & a school ID card. I came out embarrassing, but I had never seen a photogenic person in ID anyway. LOL
