Today marks our 9th Thanksgiving celebration for my family (my personal favorite holiday!) & also the 9 year anniversary of our U.S. settlement. We’ve went through so many changes since then: Wonho & I graduated from high school, I finished college & now a grad student, & my wonderful parents reaching in their 50’s. It’s pretty remarkable how things have changed without much notice.
This was a busy day for all of us - with me & Z flying down to El Paso this morning (6:40am flight…try imagining how I responded to this) to my mom having to cook a 24lb turkey, along with abundant side dishes, to feed not only my family (+ boyfriend) but the Bae family as well. I am simply glad she has survived from this adventure.
It was great to see all 9 of us getting together enjoying great foods, catching up, & feeling happy. Of course, Wonho, Z, & I loved hanging out with the ever-growing Baby Daniel who has gotten much stronger & much heavier since the last we have seen him. He particularly enjoyed hanging out with my boyfriend, (only the 2nd time he has seen him) but I guess it’s because Z showed some crazy stunts to this little boy. We also played hide-and-seek for 2 hours straight.
All in all, I feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful groups of people, a place I can always call home, the abundance of food (since it managed me to bring food-induced coma), & all the little things that we always take for granted…including 5 different kinds of desserts, literally.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers!!
