I am constantly amazed by people’s ever-changing lives. I don’t mean to Facebook stalk people, but I sometimes can’t help looking through some of old high school friends’ pages & observing the development of their lives since I’ve last seem them in high school. Sometimes, I stumble upon their blogs – some seem to lead a very pleasant life, some not so much.
I recall this same thought few months ago, perhaps; I actually remember being shocked by old high school choir friends being married & have like two kids, for an instance. I am occasionally informed by others of how some friends lead very unfortunate lives due to few mistakes they’ve made…but I do see others who are paving their road to happiness, which is really nice to see.
I just found out that a dear friend of mine back in high school became a mom, & she’s my age. I can only imagine what a different life we will each lead. Another girl is working on her PhD, eloped with her high school sweetheart, & is looking incredibly beautiful more than ever. And then I find out another old friend of mine is happily married & moved to Nashville, TN. Who could’ve imagined that all these would happen? But, surely, they did happen.
Discovering how others’ lives change completely fascinates me. Although, my life is constantly evolving to a new journey, but I don’t notice my change as obvious as others. I guess what I’m trying to say is, it’ll be amazingly interesting to see how we all end up in 10, 20, 30 years from now. I would hope to say that my life will be truly wonderful as it is now, but I realize that each decision I make is important until the last day of my life.
Tonight just seems to be a good night to make such reflections. I am always intrigued by other people’s choices & reading their blogs have given me some great inspiration with my life. I believe there is always something you could learn from others.
I, out of purest thought, hope that my life could be somewhat of an inspiration to others & able to provide moments of reflections. We’ll see if I could actually do that, though.
