Yesterday I took a sick leave from work. Let's face it - I wasn't really that "sick", but I felt fatigue and burned out. So, I took a day off just because.
Before Lilly's time, I would take a day off to relax at home, catch up on some house chores, and maybe go shopping. Since Lilly joined our family, I have to be a little more active. I had to run errands at Target, so I took her with me on a fun car ride. By the way, she loves to be in the car hopping between different seats.
Afterwards I wanted to take her to Hermann Park, which would have been a great place to run around except I forgot it was Spring Break week and the entire city of Houston residents decided to be there. After 45 minutes of searching for a parking spot, I decided to head up. It was still nice to see her running around the backseat from window to another to observe the park.
We ended up on a long walk along our neighborhood. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and there were several dogs walking, so that entertained Lilly very much.
