Bridesmaids and the bride

Z left home for the rest of this month.  He had an interview in Cleveland and later in Buffalo, we decided that we will just meet up there next week.  Naturally, I had the weekend to myself and that calls for a day with  my girls.

I spent Saturday with Jaimy and Freda in Houston.  Freda, the newly engaged friend, setup an appointment with a bridal dress consignment shop.  How neat is that?!  I have always been a big proponent of recycling wedding dresses.  I think the prices these days are simply ridiculous.  Unfortunately, I didn't keep my words at the time and got a new dress for my wedding, but it was under $1,000 so I thought it was kind of reasonable...LOL

After the dress appointment we headed for a late brunch at the Tiny Dogwoods, which is a really cute/outdoorsy restaurant in midtown Houston.  It was quite chilly and windy so we couldn't sit outside, but we chose to sit in the patio area which had an outdoor heater that kept us warm.  It has been a while since we last hung out, and with Jaimy now being a full-time graduate student, it has become harder for to hang out.

Also, Jaimy and I have been asked to be Freda's bridesmaids for her wedding in March 2015!!!  I don't even know why she bothered to ask because we said YES without hesitating for a second!!!  Freda is the nicest, sweetest, caring person you would ever meet.  I felt really honored that she would consider me as her bridesmaid.

Our day continued with shopping at Katy Mills, an indoor outlet mall, which was swamped with people.  It was a bad decision on our part, but I still got a few goodies at Bath and Body Works.
