While I have always enjoyed walking into the office, I am ever more excited nowadays with some drastic changes in “scenery”. My office is a small little space containing 2 separate rooms and a total of 3 desks. Even though it’s a great little space for staff and students to mingle, it never really provided a sense of warmth, thanks to the really boring white wall. It also doesn’t help that the building was previously used by Texas Instruments, giving a full-blown industrial look.
Over the summer, me & my boss were at hardest to revamp our look to provide warmth and professional look. We spent a lot of money on painting the walls, buying new frames for our posters, shelves for video games (for students to rent ^^), and developing 6 huge photos capturing some of student life at Discovery Park. I also worked on the white wall by the office to provide a little exposure of our student organizations.
Work is still in progress, but my excitement can contain no more so I’m going to reveal some of the new changes.

I’m getting pumped about the fall semester as I meet hundreds of new students during freshman/transfer orientations. Work without students is never really that exciting, I now realize why job has to revolve so much around students. It’s been an exciting summer to go through some major changes aesthetically, and I fee like my role has evolved to become more important in this office than before.
Now only if I can give my apartment a little bit of makeover before school starts…
