Living together has obviously allowed us to see each other everyday, but our busy work schedules don’t always allow us to spend quality time. With Z’s new clinical rotation bringing a new level of workload, and this month being one of the busiest times at my office, we get too caught up with finishing house chores and quickly preparing for meals. By the time all of that is over, we are too busy trying to get enough sleep for another busy day. When I found out that Z would be working this Sunday, I was determined to do fun things outside and not be entirely lazy all day (we did that last weekend).
Today we ventured away from our usual favorite spots, and tried a new restaurant famous for its brunch. Buffalo Grille was jam packed with customers, but after some wait, there were some fantastic looking plates before us. I ordered a custom-built omelet, which was huge and fabulous, and Z ordered a Mexican style breakfast that he couldn’t even finish. We always enjoy exploring local favorites and today didn’t disappoint us at all.
After brunch, we watched a movie called Total Recall, which was a mindless movie action. We then headed off to Costco to fill our fridge with plenty of groceries for a week or two. Our friends Henry and Joyce joined us for dinner tonight at one of their favorites, Cesco’s, a Peruvian and Mexican fusion restaurant. I may have came back home from tasting one of the most delicious shrimp soups.
