ICE!

Last night I was reunited with my former college roommate Madonna & her fiancé James. We met up @ Gaylord Texan Resort (which I haven’t been to), where the annual ICE was taken place. I have heard of the amazing things done at the ICE exhibit before, but seeing it in person was a first.

Texas weather last night was unusually warm & nice so I was expecting some major “frostbite”. Before entering ICE, we were given a ginormous blue parka, which I looked like human version of penguin. I looked ridiculous in it but I knew I had to wear this.

We entered into a 9 degree room full of ice sculptures. Indeed to say, it was one of the most memorable “ah” moments in my life. I had a really difficult time absorbing everything, partially due to senseless earlobes & fingers, but mostly due to the amazing creation made by humans.

Every sculpture was so intricately done the cold didn’t even matter anymore. I was completely mesmerized by the use of colors, smooth lines, & it solidness (duh, they were in a 9 degree room).

The money was definitely worth it, including the overpriced hot chocolate after the exhibition. Of course, reuniting with the roommate brought us back immense memories.

All in all, it was a wonderful night.

P.S. – The last picture I took reminded me of my childhood (& adulthood encounters) memories @ Mr. & Mrs.’s basement. Mr. B., have some awesome-looking stuff.
