Today was an exhausting day for both of us. I came home to witnessing Z taking a nap on my couch and then I headed for my own bed to take a nap…with my work clothes still on. I’m not sure if Wednesday is meant for pure tiredness/laziness because it’s halfway into the week, or if I’m simply exhausted from commuting between home and SMU two days in a row. I also find 4 hours (total) on the road to be boring as well.
By 8pm, we were hungry but none of us had the urge to cook. We have been good about cooking at home this month, except for the weekends when we eat with friends, but tonight was not the night of cooking.
After much persuasion, I dragged to Texas Roadhouse. Have I mentioned that Texas Roadhouse is literally in my backyard? I am lucky to be surrounded by countless numbers of restaurants. We walked, to save gas and to exercise…a little bit. We felt less guilty that way.
Ever since I purchased my first smartphone, I have divulged myself into learning all the functions and apps of this phone. Of course being the photographer-wannabe, I also spent quality time understanding what this camera phone could do for me. So far I am loving the quality of this phone – it contains flash, auto focus, and all sorts of abilities usually seen in digital cameras. That doesn’t mean I’m abandoning my digital camera – I still absolutely love it and most of the pictures will continue be taken by that. But I find camera phone to be useful when uploading on Facebook or sending it as a quick attachment to my parents.
These pictures were taken by my phone. Pretty amazing quality, don’t you agree?

For dinner, I fulfilled my craving for steak while Z managed to eat only half of the full rack of ribs. We really gave each other some guilt trips with controlling each other’s portion. Anyways, we are happily back at my apartment with Z playing some computer games and me doing some laundry, as usual.
