Hello HELLO! Sorry for my impromptu hiatus from blogging a few days, but it has been a busy weekend for me! Well, it was certainly a good, busy weekend because it was a happy wedding day for our dear college friends.
As life sort of confirms that I am getting older each year, I seem to be attending more & more weddings each summer. I spent a lovely weekend celebrating the marriage of Christine and Grant. This weekend was especially special as I partook in a first, big reunion with college friends. We usually call ourselves the “BGS Crew,” based on the residence halls of Bledsoe, Gordon, and Sneed Hall, where all of most our friends have lived at one point during their college lives. It was a place where a strange web of friendships had existed – one friend led to another because someone new that person, etc etc etc. Mainly made up of now-currently-working-as-engineers, we spent many years hanging out in their dorm rooms with some of the most silly moments as I would recall. But it was them that I called as my true college friends and my Texas Tech experience without them would’ve been completely unimaginable. And this may sound extremely cheesy; I must admit that many of us girls have found love among these men.
Everyone slowly graduated and moved on with their lives as adults (with serious responsibilities) as times went by. By the time I graduated from college last summer, most of them were gone except for a very small group of people. In essence, Christine and Grant’s wedding embarked our first, impromptu reunion, and we hope to continue this many years to come. Most of us still resides in Texas but due to the ridiculous size of this great Texas, we were never really successful in getting everyone together….until this weekend.
Christine was looking absolutely stunning and Grant looked sharp [probably because we were so used to seeing him in t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops all the time]. We enjoyed their beautiful Catholic wedding as they vowed each other for eternal love.

And then there was the reception – we were very busy catching up on new developments of each other’s life, but also busy reminiscing old times. I promise you there had been lots of silly moments when there are several engineering majors involved. Back then, there was nothing wrong about that. Now, we think we were completely crazy. We had fun dancing, taking pictures [and realizing how mature-looking we have become], and congratulating our married friends Christine and Grant.

And then today, we had gathered for brunch at the Cheesecake Factory before all of us separated our ways to home. Fun was over, and we all had to go back to being the responsible married couple, engaged couple, engineers, doctors, and grad/medical students. But it was truly wonderful to see everyone because we knew that this would not come often.
