Unusual Things

Today was an incredibly fun day -  my long awaited musical, Monty Python’s Spamalot, finally happened.  Ever since discovering that Z will be in the DFW area for the entire month of June, I had looked for something to do together that otherwise we normally wouldn’t do.  I realized that watching a musical wasn’t something we do frequently, just because it costs a considerable amount out of our pockets, but we only wanted to see the good ones.  Well, that good one had just arrived – Spamalot.

I was well aware of this musical because I had been part of several excerpts of this musical during the high school musical phase of my life.  And who doesn’t like the good ole Monty Python movie?  I watched movie several times, but not since high school.  I knew just how hilarious this musical would be – something that we could laugh about while enjoying some good live performance.

We were all nicely dressed up (well, I wanted to dress up and sort of forced Z to do the same), and my bright pink dress was really complemented by a gorgeous sunny weather.

I knew the Galleria Dallas was very close to where the Music Hall is, so I bugged Z to take us there even though there was only an 1 1/2 hour window.  At the mall, we splurged our precious money on Jamba Juice smoothies, jumbo hotdog pretzel at Auntie Annes,  and a shopping spree at Gap.  A two $10 Gap coupon came in really handy in the end.  Even Z got a couple of polo shirts.

I have been to the Galleria Mall couple times during college choir trips, but ironically never made the trip since I moved here last summer.  So revisiting this massive mall was quite refreshing and cool.  Granted I only go to two stores no matter which mall I go to (Gap & Banana Republic), so size of the mall shouldn’t really matter.

Now it’s quite depressing to know that my sleep-ins and lazy days are over for another week.
