Weekend Review

Z, me, and several friends of Z’s made a trip to Omi last night.  Omi is an awesome place with an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ.  We happen to pig out there whenever we can.  With five very hungry Asian people, meats were in high demand (another reason we love this place….).

Today, me and Z enjoyed a lazy morning/early afternoon followed by an extensive list of grocery shopping.  I’m always baffled by the amount of food we consume in a week, but it has been helpful for my monthly budget to pack lunch everyday.  But making that a habit hasn’t been as exciting as thought.  We also enjoyed our first tanning-by-the-pool with my friend at her apartment.  Let’s just say I am no longer looking too white.

And then ending on a good note, I am happy to celebrate Dallas Maverick’s first NBA championship tonight.  If I was younger (or felt younger), I might attempt to drive downtown to celebrate with strangers.  But I am a grownup, responsible individual who needs to work the next day.  So I am in my pj and yawning furiously.

All in all, this weekend was very pleasant.  I could only wish one day that regular weekends mean 3-day weekends (SMU currently has that as their summer policy!), but until then, I seem to have no choice but to expect another fun-filled week.  By the way, I might have a very hyper, excited, don’t-know-how-to-contain-myself post coming up soon.  Stay tuned!
