Yesterday, I witness real Buffalos with my own eyes. It was pretty cool to watch them so up close. So why in the world would I be mingling around with Buffalos in Dallas/Fort Worth area? Well, honesty, I didn’t had a clue that Buffalos existed so close to where I work until yesterday morning! The Division of Student Affairs at my work hosted a day-long summer summit to understand UNT students’ perception of our university, institutional support, and compare with national level. Pretty much it’s to understand what we are doing wrong about promoting student engagement while there are here, and figure out practical solutions to improve our existing services and program. It’s actually quite boring w hen you hear about this issue every single day, but I did think we ended the day with some serious conversations and thoughts to carry on.

It was held at Buffalo Valley Center, which is literally a mile away from my work. I really enjoyed the rural surrounding and its gorgeous facility. Yolanda and I definitely were excited to witness living Buffalos on a gorgeous Thursday morning. I’m glad they had fence, though.
After the summit, me and Z arranged to meet with our friend Dan, for a nice Italian dinner and catching-up. Even though we hung out a few weeks ago at Christine and Grant’s wedding, we thought it would be nice opportunity to get together once again before Z officially takes off to Galveston this weekend.

This weekend, Z and I are heading down to San Antonio to float the river with several friends across the nation. It will be a great summer get-together with people we barely have a chance to hang. I’m really looking forward to experiencing my first tube ride (wish me luck!). I’ll be back on Sunday!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
