I’ve been terrible about promptly posting cruise trip – related pictures lately. So sorry! I had a great first week of class last week, but who knew my body wasn’t quite ready for all the intellectual work! I shamelessly admit that I still may or may not be in a cruise withdrawal. Z visited me over the weekend, and we pigged out on our date night. Yesterday we spent all day watching NFL conference championships with our college friends. A relaxing weekend I must say!
To get back to the point… On our 5th day of the cruise, we arrived in Cozumel, Mexico. Let me just start that this destination was my overall favorite. We had signed up for Amazing Race Cozumel, similar to the tv show, where we competed with other teams (I’d say about 20??) to search for clues. It required A LOT of running and fast-walking to the point I felt really bad about my current fitness. We were the first group to show up at the final destination even though we were eventually placed in 4th according to the time calculation (we were upset…haha).
After the race, we found a nice, secluded beach area recommended by locals. I snorkeled for the first time, though I was miserable at at the whole breathe-through-your-mouth-only part. In the water, I saw a sting ray, lots of fishes in which the names are unknown, and Flounders! It was quite a sight-seeing that I hoped to encounter again in the future.
That night was formal night #2. But since we had plenty of time left, so we enjoyed the hot tub for the first time on the ship. I dressed up in a blue dress that Z got me back in the day and headed to the theater to see a musical performance before the dinner. We then went participated in the Quest, a competition-type event, where we saw all sorts of craziness of people.
