I said YES!!!

On January 2nd, the first night of our first cruise, something very special happened in our lives. We were alone at the very top of an outdoor deck to watch the stars and the exceptionally bright moon. It was chilly, especially with strong winter ocean breeze, but it was quite magical to see so many stars that couldn’t be seen else where. Then at 10:30pm (yes, I had looked at the time right before it happened), Z kneeled down with a beautiful ring in his hand and asked me to be his wife.

I SAID YES!!! 

Everything was perfect. I loved that we were able to share such an intimate moment just to ourselves. There was 15 minutes of crying, smiling, laughing, hugging…every emotions one could go through. It had became the happiest day of our lives.

Though I had been hinted days before the happening, the whole event was a complete surprise for me. Never in my mind had I thought that I would get engaged to this wonderful man in the beginning of a new year. He was great at hiding this massive secret and choosing the most beautiful ring a woman could ask for. He selected the ring all by himself without me ever knowing. Best lifetime surprise ever! :)

We enjoyed the newly-engaged status for the rest of cruise without telling the world about it. Those 6 days of secrecy was the best time we had in our 4 years and 2 months of our relationship. Thank you so much for all the congratulations. We are very, very happy and can’t wait to take on the journey together!
