June 2009 -> check! :-)

As June is approaching to an end, I felt an urge to write a blog. This summer feels particularly odd because it will be my last summer as an undergrad. No summer school and just working all day seems to show a glimpse of what it might be the big world out there. However it's also the month that ignites the panic mode thinking that I have spent nearly 50% of my summer not really doing anything otherwise than work.

I have yet to prepare for grad school applications. It doesn't really facilitate things since many schools aren't posting new applications for Fall 2010 until early September. At least, I have narrowed down the list of people who would fill out recommendation letters. And GRE studying has been going very slow- being tired after work and boring materials don't really help. July is going be a very busy month. I am slowly being in a state of panic without doing anything about it- good job me.

One thing I look forward to soon is my departure to Houston, TX. Yes, I'm going to go see my boyfriend whom I haven't seen for a month. It'll be a nice break away from Lubbock although the higher heat index is not something I positively anticipate. I'm not sure what we will be doing there except for my attendance at Z's reception and trip to Dallas to go see his family.

This week was a 'guest week'. We had my former voice teacher and her collegue staying here for 4 days and then Erika's grandparents for 1 day. I am ready to clean this house as my prior mission before heading to Houston. The house must be clean. And I'm doing laundry like no others business.

Next blog will hopefully be posted from Houston. I'll post some pictures as well.
