PS22 Chorus

Today I heard about a new choir from one of my bosses at TECHniques: PS22 Chorus. He claimed to heard of this choir on YouTube and was amazed by their talents. These young elementary school kids are from Staten Island and have been finally introduced to the world of YouTube by their director.

I have to say that the sound of these voices are far more mature than what we expect from young kids. What an enormous talents they all have. Once again, I am amazed by the power of music created by human voice. It was disappointing to discover that a lot of their junior high music programs are cut down due to budget shortage. That's the first thing that school districts do-eliminate music programs to fund for other things. It is so sad to face a reality of public schools that have yet to appreciate music. They have to realize that investment in fine arts is as important as academic areas. I wish that each of these kids can continue on with the amazing talent they have.
