"Up"

While I was in Houston, Z and I watched a 3D movie called "Up". As many have probably seen the preview numerous times, it is story about an old man and a young boy on a journey to South America...with a helium-supported house. Sound pretty realistic, huh? Ok, cutting to chase, it is a highly recommended movie. Just like any typical Disney-made movie, the plot is very innocent and highly unrealistic. But after all, the point of this movie is not meant to be a documentary....right? It's a definitely kid/family type movie.

I really enjoyed watching this because it made me feel like an innocent kid again. Part of me wants to be very innocent. There is nothing wrong with the idea that one person loves his wife so much even after her death he goes on a mission to make her dream wish come true. I was like an excited little kid the whole time. At times, I might have giggled too often and possibly embarrassed Z. There is a certain degree of innocence that I no longer have but that I miss dearly. I kind of like the idea of husband and wife more as best friends over being in love. That's what the elderly couple in "Up" seemed to portray. What is the joy of being with that person if you cannot even consider him/her as your best friend?

I believe that when you truly enjoy being with someone, you don't constantly have to say 'I love you' because he/she will already knows that by now. But always remind him/her that you do because it makes that person very happy. If you are more comfortable hanging out with your friends than your actual husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend then maybe you haven't found the right one. Being with someone you like a lot and love even more should make you feel like yourself...not like someone else.

If you are seeking for a moment to feel like an innocent child agreeing on everything you see, I recommend watching "Up". There is something about that movie that made me exceptionally happy and hopeful about the things that are waiting for me in the future. It's ok if you don't agree with me after watching this, but it's a great movie to feel....just happy.
