Things that I do this summer...(besides tanning)

This summer has been quite different from other years. First, I'm not taking summer classes for the first time and very happy about it. Second, I feel like I have more free time when I don't realize all the things I should be doing before fall semester begins. Third, somehow I feel busy all the time.

GRE studying has been going slowly but making progress. I realized how much I lack understanding in verbal section thus making me even more scared about the exam. Part of me is still trying to understand the usefulness of this skills in reality, while I am struck with the truth that I have no control over with this standardized exam whatsoever. I'm trying to make sense out of this 'analogy' section especially. To me, it just brings me a storm of confusion. Perhaps I should seek help from someone.

While that's going on, since yesterday, I have been back on the routine of exercising. All I care is being healthy and staying fit, therefore getting a six-pack is really not my goal. Having a workout buddy is always nice. I meant to workout with my friend Linda, unfortunately, the scheduling isn't working out. I have, however, began to work out with Madonna and her puppy. The park that we discovered contains a wonderful 1-mile track. This makes it easy for me to calculate how much I jog/walk. Today was 4 miles. I was proud of myself.

Finally I end my night with writing a mock-exam for my student. He is taking a management course that I already took 2 years ago. Thankfully, I still have all the notes (via powerpoint, etc) which helps me extraordinarily. Now that I completed 20-question exam, I should be able find out the progress he made outside of the tutoring session. It's nice to have more time to create individual assessments for each student compared to regular semesters. I wish I had even 3 more hours during the day to customize each student's needs. That just does not happen on regular semesters, unfortunately.
