Today, I was surprised by an unexpected email. As I was opening the email, a mix of excitement and nervousness ran through my body...an address that looked so familiar and yet so foreign. It was an email from a dear old friend - a friend from Korea.
In middle school, her and three other girls were my best friends. They were there for me during the most vulnerable, awkward times of my life. A lot of great things happened with those fabulous ladies. Since I left Korea (which was in 2001 and never went back so far), we all went separate ways. We tried hard to keep in touch but busy life kept pulling us away from each other.
Then today, for the first time since 2007, I have heard from one of them again. She was now happily married and living the honeymoon life with her husband. I wish I could have been there to see her walk that aisle.
Today is the day that I realized how much things have really changed. We are all grown ups, living the life we created. It was an interesting day.
I wish I had at least a picture of us. We didn't really carry a camera that often, back in the day.
