Roomie Date

Erika and I went out on a rommie date tonight. Actually, I never knew it was going to be a date until later. She wanted to go see "Dear John", a romantic movie originated from the book written by Nicholas Sparks. I'm never a fan of romantic movie, but I didn't want to be a bad friend. Never realized until later that this was a highly anticipated movie...for the girls, at least. It took us a full two-round, at least, to get the movie tickets.

Before the whole buying-movie-tickets fiasco, we enjoyed our dinner at the Saigon Cafe. It never disappoints us. I am actually thinking about recommending to my parents for their next visit to Lubbock.

Since we had extra time to hang out than originally planned, I suggested going to one of my favorite stores, Banana Republic. I heard about a college student discount...  I bought a tank top with a 15% student discount! (I promise, daddy, it wasn't expensive). Erika got lucky too - she ended up buying a beautiful shirt for less than 15% (and not a black color).

On our way back to the movie theater, we stopped by for a desert - Sheridan's Custard place... yum yum. No need for an explanation on that.

We bought tickets for 9:40pm, much later than what we planned for. When we arrived 30 minutes earlier in hopes for a good seat, we were surprised by the line of "girls" waiting for a tear-fest. Who would've ever thought romantic movie = lots of girls would actually come to reality? Perhaps I just have not witnessed that before because of my avoidance for romantic movies.

I wish to not discuss the movie...well, it's a romantic movie. You can't expect too many surprises.

All in all, today was good, fun day with my roommate. I think it's time for me to study for a little bit now.
