I have a confession to make.
There are few things that I never wanted to admit when I was younger - I feared that they were embarrassing. Today, I am boldly admitting few favorites. Most likely, I liked them for a very long time. As you can see the background of my blog has changed. Perhaps, it changed to more girly (at least for the color) setting. I realized how much I love the color of "peach". It is a color that can be very childish or baby-like, but there is something that color that I find it very pretty. I've got comments from people that I look good in that color (or pink as my mom claims). I think it's a beautiful color.
I like the vintage-style outfits. I used to prefer the traditional classics, which is still a big portion of my wardrobes. However, I've been daring lately by investing in some vintage clothes - sometimes they are oldish and have a mismatched effect... It seems very unique, natural, and yet comfortable.
I like to look feminine. Before college, I used to be a tomboy. I liked comfortable clothes such as hoodies with tight ponytail. I hardly did make-up. Lately, I have been more interested in dresses and overall style that makes me look more feminine (not exactly the 'preppy girl', though - that would be the late high school stage). I am liking clothes that are somewhat loose but express the mature body I have now. That said, I like natural make-ups and enjoy wearing dress as a casual outfit.
I like my wavy hair. When I was a kid, I hated my natural curly hair because I didn't know how to control it. Even though I still don't know how to control my own hair most of the time, I am enjoying the naturalism. I like the somewhat puffy/wavy hair instead of completely straightening it.

You know what? Peach isn't babyish, it's quite sophisticated, and I love vintage looking pieces or pieces that have vintage elements in the design too! They're always classic. And I have something to admit, I have always loved wavy and curly hair, mine is so stick straight that it won't even perm, I definitely envy your natural wave it looks beautiful on you. :D
ReplyDeleteI think you're realizing you're finally "coming into your own", which is a sophisticated, smart, and gorgeous woman!
Aww, Linda, thank you! You are so wonderful, and you made my day. I still envy your straight hair, though.
