Double date

Last night me & Z had a wonderful time double dating with my friend, Irene, and her boyfriend.

Our dinner was at a local pizza restaurant, introduced by Irene & Enrique. Despite living in El Paso for over eight years, it was my first visit. We really enjoyed the college-type atmosphere: familiar laughter, sports channel, & casual setting. I guess it makes sense because we were, as a matter of fact, by the university. By the way, the pizza was excellent.

We spent the rest of the evening laughing about everything at a bar, also by the university, where we were given a diverse selection of wines & beers. I particularly enjoyed the variety of beers. Ironically, all the cool things (food, cafe, bar, etc) seemed to be around the university…just a random thought.

Me & Irene were delighted that our much-anticipated double date went smoothly & better than expected because the boys, in particular, did not know each other at all before this. Of course, their topics mainly consisted of video games, sports, & electronics.

We enjoyed getting to know each other more, especially on how we all met with each other. Love & friendship stories can be very corny indeed, but we had some good laughs no matter what. Believe it or not, it felt like those “corny” stories have really brought the humors to our double date’s dinner table.
