I don’t have a long attention span nor the patience to shop for things – clothes, furniture…anything. 30 minutes into shopping, I start yawning & thinking about other things to do beside this. It also sucks that I don’t do bargain shopping that well. More than half of things I own are purchased by my mommy, who has more tolerance to bargain shopping. Good thing she has such a good taste in everything; usually hers & my taste are alike.
{ Did I mention I dislike shopping??? }
I was feeling under the weather today & didn’t feel like going shopping things for the apartment; I had to do it anyway. I barely realized that today is July 2!! I have definitely less than 2 months to settle down in Denton. A progress was essential.
This will be my first time living by myself with truly my own things, which I am elated. Though I don’t want things to be so expensive & perfect, I wanted the decoration to look cohesive at least, or pretty. ^.^ [Which also makes the shopping experience much more exhausting]
We began at Wal-Mart, where we bought most of the bathroom & kitchen stuff. My mom wasn’t too satisfied with the quality, but couldn’t really resist the low prices.

{ Wal-Mart stuff, which half of then will be returned }
Then…we went to Target. The following decisions we made weren’t probably the best ones we made, but we did it anyway. So, when we walked to Target’s bathroom isle, the things there were SO MUCH BETTER. The quality & overall aesthetic looked sophisticated & not cheap-looking. My mom couldn’t seem to pass this temptation & ended up suggesting an outrageous idea, “How about we buy things of the same category here, and return the others that we already bought in Wal-Mart?” So we did.
{ Target stuff }
Now we are going to get refunds for the ironing board, bath & contour rugs, soup dispenser, and toilet brush, basically all the bathroom-related products, from Wal-Mart tomorrow. I know, aren’t we such smart shoppers?
In the end, we were happier to pay extra bucks at Target for better quality. Sometimes there is absolutely nothing wrong about paying extra bucks.
Wal-Mart, you’re not always the best.
P.S. – I’m just glad that today’s shopping is done.

Way to support Eric Chi! <3
