Wardrobe update

IMG_1795

Is it bad when a girl likes to shop? I personally don’t think it’s bad unless it becomes excessive, which I don’t think I am.

Today was a busy day for the Oh family, getting two cars fixed just because they were getting old…especially mine (7 years & going). We were running between two different auto shops, standing up for ourselves with confidence because some men don’t believe women know cars. Men should know that some women, like myself, know when a car is not working right. Anyway, we live in the world of strong beliefs in stereotypes.

My mom & I occasionally visit the factory outlet mall in the outskirts of El Paso, which is exactly what we did today. We really had no intention of buying anything as were innocently pursuing window shopping. 10 minutes later, we kept saying “sorry” to my brother – he was not happy to see what these Oh women were about to do.

We walked into Banana Republic Factory Store. My gosh they have some great clothes. And “oh my” for the additional 50% discount after an already 50% discounted rack of clothes. I was in heaven. So was my mom.

Looks like today became not only let’s-fix-all-the-cars day, it also became let’s-update-Wonjee’s-wardrobe day.

I am thankful that this had happened after discovering my dress code as a Graduate Assistant. Supposedly I need lots of green shirts (thank you UNT for choosing green as your school color) & business casuals. I owned some, but I definitely had a lot more casual clothes. So, this was good.

I bought lots of basic colors (black & white) & some green. They were all very office-looking clothes. No longer t-shirts & jeans – how weird.

I am really happy how things turned out today. I suddenly felt like a grown up when buying all these adult-looking clothes…oh no.

Wardrobe update: complete.

PS- Sorry brother for putting you through this shopping excursion, again.
