Happy 4th!

I hope everyone had a pleasant 4th of July yesterday. Usually we would spend the day having a cookout & enjoying the El Paso’s summer heat, but we went for a rather more relaxing day instead.

Daddy Oh was up in New Jersey to visit an old friend over the weekend, so it was just three females (grandma, mom, & I) and a male (Wonho), which indeed generated lots of estrogen.

My biggest celebration of the day was picking up the toaster that I ordered online from Wal-Mart (yes, this time it is). I was totally excited that appliances have begun to arrive at the store for pick-up. I am such a domestic person, I know.

What was most exciting, however, was to finally meet with daddy again, after 4 day absences. We were so glad to have him back in the house; we needed more testosterone, obviously.

At the airport, we witnessed a family anxiously waiting for a man, whom we later found out as an army dad. It was quite emotional to see them embracing each other with love. [Son was telling his army dad that he is now 7 years old] I started wondering how long this dad was absent that family’s life.

On our way back, we saw a little firework going on in a distance from our neighbor.

Yesterday reminded my family, what a great country we live in that we now call our home for nearly 9 years now. We thank the men & women, past & present, out there protecting this wonderful country. We are truly blessed to partake in this life.
