Like a soccer mom

Spring break has been more than relaxing these days as I am catching up on sleep & doing some house chores for Z. Surprisingly though, I have been getting up at a decent time (aka before noon) except for one day, so I’d like to think that I’m doing a better job. Part of the reason I am waking up semi early is because I’m pretending to be a soccer mom where I drop off/pick up Z at various places he needs to be for school [his school does not have spring break].

Today I dropped him off in the morning, went for a walk along the beach [it was really, really nice], picked up Z & his friends to take them for lunch [I ate with them, too], dropped him off again for school, went for a WalMart run & then picked him once his day was over. Fun day, don’t you think? I literally felt like a soccer mom, constantly looking at the clock making sure I wasn’t being late. He’s an adult so he can wait, you know but I couldn't stand the fact that the would have to wait. I enjoyed doing that with his awesome Honda Accord [bigger engine + newer car = awesomeness]. We caught up on the last Glee episode from last night & waiting for dinner with friends.

Following pictures are taken yesterday, but I thought some of you might enjoy the beach from faraway. Ironically spending the week in an island made me think of Japan & its horrible tragedy. The quiet island has turned into a busy/crazy spring break destination filled with half-naked teenagers & families. It’s nice to see some crowd but I am disliking the traffic.
