Ups and Downs

I was a happy girl on Saturday evening after receiving a great news via e-mail.

I have been selected as one of 20 ACPA Convention Ambassadors for this year.

Apparently more than 100 graduate students across the nation have applied for 20 positions so I’m really thrilled to find out that I got selected.

ACPA (American College Personnel Association) is one of the largest professional organizations for student affairs. I get to directly network with current practitioners and assist in hosting important luncheons and dinner functions on behalf of ACPA. Sounds fancy, eh? Well, it’ll be a lot of volunteering work but I think it’ll come as a useful experience in the future.

On the other hand, I was spending all Sunday evening with my friend Suneera to move forward with our massive list of homework that is all due by end of this coming week. I am having a headache from all the research, and I pray that spring break comes quicker so I can see my parents. On a brighter note, I had lunch with my college friend Shawn who just happened to pass by Denton on his way to Lubbock. I appreciated that he gave me a call to let me know. We had a great time catching up while eating Thai food.
