what an irony to say “happy weekend”, when our world is in pain? I have been deeply saddened & terrified for those in Japan that went through a horrible earthquake & tsunami to follow. I saw myself watching the videos repeatedly of the tsunami engulfing everything it took path. it’s such a terrifying moment to observe half way across the world & cannot simply imagine the pain it is going through the victims. I was inspired by Japanese’ calmness to this chaos. Whether they had expected this or not, it is absolutely painful to think of them & the tragedy that led upon them.
I am thankful to hear that my friends & relatives in Japan are safe, but I also pray for their loved ones. I’m also relieved to hear that my friends in Hawaii & the West Coast are doing fine, though some had to evacuate.
ironically to say, I am happy to see my parents, my sweet little brother, & my boyfriend who all made the long, tiring drive to come see me for the weekend. I feel incredibly blessed to not be in that of catastrophic environment & surrounded by loved ones. I would love to talk about today’s experience with them, but I will put that in rest until the time seems right.
for now, please keep in mind for all people in Japan & wish them a successful safe journey to recovery.
