Today was my friend Christine’s bridal shower. She’s getting hitched in June with her long term boyfriend/now fiancé whom she met at Texas Tech. As biology majors, Z & Christine took extensive amount of classes together & became close friends over the years. I also had the pleasure of knowing both of them throughout undergrad years in good ole Lubbock since then.
I was excited & yet anxious to attend because this was my first attendance to a bridal shower. There has been a lot of “first” in my 20s…ha ha. The shower was taken place at her best friend’s house & though it was a 45 mile drive for myself, I was honored to attend alongside her closest friends, families, & relatives.

There were lots of fun moments, from making a wedding dress using toilet papers [my group won & earned myself a gorgeous Cynthia Rowley salad serving set…picture to come!] & getting to know more of the future bride & groom by playing bingo. Most of all, it was great to see Christine happy, excited, nervous, & other mix of emotions that any future bride would have a month before her wedding. She seemed genuinely happy & I was happy to be part of that special moment.

Later on, I was able to chat with her for a little bit to find out her future plans with her hubby :) Thankfully she secured herself a residency in DFW area [she’s a 4th med student!] & is able to stay close to her family. Looks like house hunting is on the agenda for both! Now look at my awesome salad serving set!
