Thank you, Mommy!
Mother's Day...
It was a day for all of us to show how much we love our moms out there. However, my family tries not to make this day so different from others. Any sort of official dates are quite stressful in my family. Though I avoid to expose too much of the problems that go around in this family - let's just say that official events cause more tension than we wish.
But this day is special. My mom is a very special person. She takes care of the excessively-demanding mother-in-law, a not-so-healthy son, a not-so-helpful daughter, and a great husband. Except for the great husband part, she has a lot on her shoulders.
Today, we had a cookout - steak, chicken breast, sausage, and tons of side dish. I bought a flower bouquet that arrived yesterday. And she got a new comfy pajama...from me. Tonight, she can sleep better, I hope.
I admire her truly for sticking by my dad's side even when she knew my grandma can make her life miserable. I appreciate her commitment to me and my brother even that meant giving up her career and everything else she dreamed of. She gave up a lot for us.
She is the greatest mom that a daughter could ask for. And she is my best friend and a sister I don't have. I hope she is happy and even more in the years to come.
Thank you, Mommy. I love you!
