{Family at Guadalupe Mountains National Park}

I'm back in Lubbock for the summer. Since I don't have to take summer classes, I figured I would use this free time to work and study for GRE. But in order to get that done effectively, I need to get away from my own house. I get distracted very easily with the presence of my family. They drove with me to Lubbock yesterday. My dad never lets me drive alone to Lubbock or back to El Paso because he thinks someone would kidnap me. I don't know why he thinks that way. However though, it's always great to feel that you have 100% support from your parents. So I don't necessarily mind about them coming with me. We have fun after all.

Yesterday, on our way to Lubbock, we stopped by Guadalupe Montains National Park. It was a random break, thanks to my Dad, who likes to be spontaneous. The weather was gorgeous and I felt like taking pictures. I don't have that many pictures with my family; it was a good opportunity. Pictures came out great, by the way.

Today, we ate at our favorite Lubbock's Thai Pepper. My mom is highly addicted to Beef Noodle Soup there. After running errands at Wal-Mart (meaning I don't have to pay for anything! lol), I took them to my work place where I tutor students. They got to meet my awesomes bosses (I have several). I got my contact info on my students that I will be working with for the summer. I am excited for a new adventure! My parents + brother really enjoyed the tour I gave them. I'm happy that they like my work place. Then, they headed back to El Paso. I hate that moment. I personally don't like being far away from my parents. The idea of seeing them again in August comforts me though.

Finally, today is my boyfriend Z's birthday. He's 22 now, same age until I turn 23 in October! He already got my present and card, and I'm really glad he likes them. I always try to make sure that I get him something useful and something he would really need on a daily basis. (I got him a wallet, this time). So...Happy Birthday Z! :-)
