Happy New Year, everyone! How was the first day of the year 2011? Mine was fabulous; it was a great day to start the year with the family I love being with.
Today was a special day for my brother. Since his birthday is in January, we decided to have an “early” celebration while I am still around. Well, the truth is my parents refuse to lead the birthday song claiming their shyness and tone deaf as excuses. I guess they just like to have the loud daughter around & my brother liked the idea, too.
My brother chose his own birthday cake yesterday – it is huge & delicious. He is always craving for cakes & sweet things so it didn’t surprise me at all when he chose the special cake.
Clearly he will have the “official” celebration when the real day comes, but I was very happy to be part of this special day of his life. My little brother will be turning 23. :)
