A nerd

Hello everyone!

For some reason, I’m in an extremely good mood today despite a hectic work schedule (especially with a major program I had to execute today) & no break whatsoever.

I believe I need to partially give kudos to myself for not being overly stressed out with personal matters, such as disabled hot water (for now, it’s working again), & took a more positive approach in living. I tend to excessively think about a problem, then cause myself a headache. Again people, flexibility in life is important.

I am incredibly excited to have some great professors this year. I know I have mentioned in a previous post, but I’m feeling like a nerd & want to talk about what I’m studying on this blog. Bare with me, please.  :)

Today in class, General Administration in Higher Education, we learned about major organizational theories that are foundation to how we operate organizations these days. To me it was more of a review, because as a business management major in undergrad, these theories were essential in knowing. I was so, so excited to see these names again, names that I have studied for two years to understand their implication in today’s organizations. I’m anxious to see what theories higher education has based its administration on, though not same for all institutions, but there is a characteristic in each industry. I am always so fascinated by the fact that designing a management was like designing a machine without involving humanistic characteristics back in the day, & as time became more recent, designing of the  management has become more holistic & rather complex. I will stop with the nerdy comments now.

I am also looking into different ways of improving the newsletter for Discovery Park, after that rude email (see earlier posts…lol), & feel excited that I might have found a way.

I know school & work will almost kill me by May, but I am looking forward to changes.

[ In response to the self-portrait above: just wanted to let parents know that I’m alive & well. ]
