Tour at Baylor University

I am currently spending this weekend in Austin, TX with my boyfriend & his medical school friends as a post-exam celebration. They had just finished a big midterm on Friday. I made the trip down here because it’s relatively a lot shorter in distance than going to Galveston. (100 miles shorter!)

On the way to Austin is Waco, where my friend Kateleen resides. She goes to Baylor University. I gave her a ring to see if she wanted to meet up for lunch & she said yes! So on a Friday afternoon, I met her in Waco for the first time.

I hung out at a local coffee shop, Common Grounds, until she was done with her class. It was a really nice, vintage place. Their interior was simply amazing! I enjoyed one of their specialties (of course I forgot the name) & free WiFi.

After having lunch at a local spot called Teriyaki Park, she gave me a private tour to Baylor University. The campus was a lot bigger than I thought, & it was beautiful!! She showed me many science & music buildings along with some favorite places of hers. I particularly enjoyed observing the architecture. The weather was in 70s, so warm that I took my cardigan off & was not cold with just sleeveless top on!

I must admit, Baylor campus was a lot more impressive than my original belief & truly enjoyed the atmosphere. Kateleen & I walked about 2 miles talking about their traditions & her college experience. My afternoon was wonderfully spent that day.

Thank you, Kateleen!
