Coffee Time

Hello everyone!

First of all, I wanted to let you know that blog update is complete, so you won’t have to suffer through series of odd layouts & color schemes anymore.  I deeply appreciate your patience, and I hope you like it!  The fabulous header was specifically designed for “The Little Asian” by my best friend Irene O’Leary {Her Artwork}.  Isn’t her work simply amazing?  I couldn’t ask for a better person to get the job done, and personally feel so thankful to have a friend like her.  This talented Irene will be on her way to Baltimore this August to start her Master’s at Maryland Institute College of Art.  Thank you so much, Irene! :)

This morning didn’t exactly start out right for both me & my brother on separate occasions.  You know how family members get a little annoyed with each other?  Well, today was certainly one of those days.  However that didn’t prevent us from enjoying our day as we already had plans to go to a movie and what not.  Today we watched “Rio” and was a perfect movie to get a belly workout done.  After indulging ourselves at Fuddruckers, we spent the next 2.5 hours at McDonald’s enjoying some peace with our coffee.  Yes, McDonald’s & peace…an irony indeed.

My brother learned how to use email with my phone for the first time, and I’m quite proud that he learned quickly.  That boy knows some technology.  While he managed to send me several emails via phone, I enjoyed my reading of “Bossypants,” which I think is clever & appropriately humorous.  Tina Fey really knows how to make her readers laugh.  Although I’m only half-way through, I seriously recommend this book even if the book doesn’t carry a core subject.  It’s a little bit about knowing her awkward past, life in theater, and learning some life lessons.

We eventually learned that some morning incident don’t have ruin the rest of the day.  I was quite thankful that we got over with whatever negativity that built among us and were able to move on.  Do you dwell on something that can’t be changed?  I certainly used to, but I am finally learning to change.  It ended up being a pretty good day after all, thanks to by new book, my brother, and my coffee, of course :)
