Things that make us happy

We invited the Bae Family over for our usual “little” cookout.  The weather was perfect, and surprisingly it wasn’t windy nor hot at all.  I guess it must have predicted that we need an amazing weather for an amazing cookout. :)  I’m always enlightened to see my Little Daniel because he seems to grow exponentially every time I see him.  As the rumor confirms, he certainly looked like a four-year old boy – no more baby face.  But then, I do need to constantly remind myself that I see him only twice a year, so imagine that growth spurts.

Before their arrival, we spent almost three hours preparing for food & drinks while humming to Glee songs.  I never realized how attentive my brother can be when it comes to food preparation.  I was also praying to not get a heart attack from all this protein in a day.

Today’s cookout menu included steaks (of course), beer brats, fried rice, bell peppers, and grilled asparagus.  It was a lot of food.  Only regret is that the steak didn’t come out perfectly as I intended; it was rather burnt and well-done.

We spent the rest of the day enjoying the perfect El Paso weather, while me, my dad, and Wonho kept Little Daniel busy until he was exhausted.  Okay, correction – he was never exhausted but the rest of us were.

I hope your Sunday has been just as fabulous as mine. :)
