Z and I have been enjoying our 3-day Memorial Day weekend. Yesterday we went to the CityArts Festival in downtown Dallas. Founding out about that event was a complete accident, but when I did find out, I couldn’t wait to go there because of all the local artists. I began to build some fascination and love towards the local artists for a while, especially for jewelries because of their vintage twist and uniqueness.
I was more excited when I discovered that all admission to the museums and exhibits were free this weekend. As expected, though, we were beginning to feel the Texas summer heat and didn’t really help when we entered the very-humid butterfly house. Nevertheless, we enjoyed beautiful butterflies, not wanting to pose for my camera! Well, I’ve only included the butterflies that took the time to pose for me. I also thought the flowers were very pure and yet gorgeous at their natural state.

We then walked around to enjoy local exhibits and partook in a brief cooking show. I ended up buying a couple of items, one of them being a vintage necklace. I thought it was a fun-looking piece.

After 3 hours, we were both really sweaty, sun-burned, and exhausted from the heat and humidity, so we decided to head back.

For dinner, we went really Asian by making traditional Korean Bulgogi with a little bit of my twist. Z experimented with a new Korean salad that he found online. Have I mentioned how fun it is to make meals for two persons? I think kitchen activities are that much productive, food turns out to be more tasty.

It has been a lovely extended weekend, although the thought of going back to work is never that pleasant. I’m still happy that I was able to spend some quality time with Z before we both begin our regular working schedule. It has been very relaxing and lots of fun!
