Since I began living with my family again (only for temporary), the dinner making has become a joint effort from mom & I. It’s a unique combination because she knows a lot about Korean foods & Asian things in general; in contrast, I know more American/Italian foods as much as I like to eat them.
I was particularly thrilled knowing my mom had great interest in learning some of the foods I like to eat (a lot), hence the joint effort in dinner making. I’d say anyway, American/Italian foods usually take less time to make & easier to clean later. I think my mom agrees, too.
Tonight we made Chicken Parmesan, very basic Italian food. Making the food itself wasn’t too difficult, except my mom was not used to having chicken as main meal. [My family, except for mom & I, are more red meat type of people.]
We try to make sure the foods are made as healthy as possible – meaning less salt, more vegetables, & more white meat.

Mom & I have been enjoying each others’ help a lot. We love experimenting with foods together. & thankfully, we don’t fight in the kitchen because we know each other so well. I’m so lucky to have a mom like that. :)
